SPY: is Tik-Tok safe?

We all have seen the recent fight between YouTube vs tik-tok and most of us also gave the best review to this world-famous app and brought its reputation down in just a matter of a few days. Well, are we the same people who gave tik-tok the world’s most downloaded app in 2018? Are we the same people who used to watch those same cringe content?
Tik-tok, after the word corona or COVID-19, the only word which is trending right now, why? Because recently in google play store it was rated 1.3 stars, for which Google had to remove 7million reviews.
This famous app is now under scanner for multiple issues here let’s discuss.
SPYWARE:
As per the reports from WION news, the Chinese are using this as a propaganda tool and making sure that there are no anti-china statements. How can this be spyware? Well, have you observed that unlike most apps Tik-tok doesn’t actually ask for location permission? Location access is mostly asked by apps to make sure the content we get is localized first but in tik-tok, without permission, you get videos from around your locality. Well since the app is “Made in China” we know its adverse effects, Chinese target the youth and try to get most of the information through their app.
    MALWARE MACHINE:
What is malware? Software that is specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system or any other device. How is tik-tok spreading malware into your mobile?

According to the NewYork Times, “ It has allowed attackers to send Tik-tok users messages that carried malicious links. Once users clicked on the links, attackers would have been able to take control of their accounts, including uploading videos or gaining access to private videos. A separate flaw allowed Check Point researchers to retrieve personal information from Tik-tok user accounts through the company’s website.”
So next time if your phone hangs and you have tik-tok just think about this.
ADULT CONTENT:
These days mobile phones are so accessible by children, well my niece, unfortunately, also uses Tik-tok and guess what most of our siblings too use tik-tok, and do you know what kind of content is available there?
It’s unfortunate that our generation has to undergo more impacts due to climate change, global warming, and virus etcetera but where is the kind of culture and respect that we Indians used to have? Here is an instance, a guy, a candle-like color applied to his hair, does some duet with a semi- n*** woman and thinks it’s cool to unbutton his shirt to show his fat belly and, another guy shows how acid can be poured on a girl just because she has relationship issues with him. With inappropriate hashtags (which can’t be shown in the blog).Though this might seem good to many, is this the content we let kids of such tender age look into?
YouTube vs tik tok (not the actual debate)
Well, YouTube is a wide range of video platform, engaging different kinds of audiences, and promoting multi-genre videos. Same as tik-tok, at first YouTube was scrutinized but later it turned out to be the platform for most content developers. Talking about cringe stuff which is going viral, well who encouraged these kinds of people to do cringe stuff? Yes, the same guy or girl staring at the phone.
Since we can’t ban the app, we can make sure that we uninstall these kinds of apps and not encourage any individuals on doing this kind of immature content
